A Framework for Assessing Higher Education Courses Employability

The 4th Industrial Revolution is causing profound and accelerated changes to work, bringing new opportunities challenges as practically all occupations are impacted by technologies. transformations in the labor market were even more due COVID-19 pandemic. In scenario which old cease exist being created, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) need be prepared educate professionals capable of getting keeping qualified jobs. To do so, HEIs tools evaluate their undergraduate courses face changing demands market. this study, we propose a novel approach employability from perspective HEIs, creating framework – called Courses Employability (HECE) help HEI decision-makers make decisions based on data mitigate reported gap between theory taught demands. HECE was evaluated useful relevant experts Brazil, continental country with deep social differences within its regions, where unemployment underemployment rates demonstrate mismatch course’s curricula. applicability different Brazillian regions provides evidence that can applied most contexts.
